Finally a nice evening

John decided for some reason this afternoon we should go out to his mom and dad's. This was shocking considering the last 5 or 6 times we have been out there has been just terrible. John has a bad relationship with them pretty much since they adopted him and they had their biological son Mike, they can never seem to think he can do anything right, plus well he choose me and they couldn't stand that. i have never not once in the last 18 years have i felt like they liked me. i know for a fact they didn't like me when we first got together. They came right out and said so. And John and I still feel they don't but at least they haven't voiced it for a while. anyway......we go out to there house once every couple months or so......I mean who needs to go feel bad about themselves more often then that, right. Well when we were out there last time John's dad and brother started in on him about not being back to work yet. Well hello.....no this fault!! So he did what he always does. He takes it while we are there, then finds and excuse to leave early and then this last time he says that maybe we shouldn't go out for at least 6 months this time. Well it had only been about a month since then and he says maybe we should go out. So we went and surprisingly it was a nice evening. Nobody put us down or hinted that his brother and his wife and kids were better. I was really surprised. We actually stayed for almost 5 hours. That hasn't happened for a very long time. It was a nice evening.

School Fundraising

They drive me crazy!!! The second day of school Bridey brings home a fall fundraising packet. These things are insane. The prices of this stuff is so high I don't see how they expect the kids to sell it for one. There was one thing in there for $6 and then $9 was was the lowest price after that for a few things most of it was $15 and above. Most of the stuff in these books don't cost these prices in real life!! Then they give these silly things away for selling a certain amount of product. The first 5 or 6 prizes are so cheap and junky that nobody cares for them so of course the point is to sell 150 items to win the Wii game system. So of course Bridey is dying to win it. I hate to tell her there will be no way she can sell 150 items. The most she has ever sold was 30. I can see why she wants it.....it's a nice gift but really..... I know she hasn't gotten hardly any new things this year with John being off work but I don't see her getting this either. I wish she could but don't see it. She is going to be upset. Oh and just what is the fundraising money going for???? Well Martin school has been fundraising for a new playground since Bridey was in kindergarten, have they got it NO! But they did manage to put in a new bus lane and exit road last year. But still no playground 4 years later.

John is out of rhythm

John went to get his heart monitor put on this morning and they hooked him up to get a baseline. The nurse doing it said that this was the first time she had ever hooked someone up to one of these and got a reading as soon as she turned it on. He is definitely out of rhythm. She was worried about it, said there is something wrong they just have to figure out what. He goes in on Tuesday for the echo. Keep your fingers crossed.

exhausting week

well this week has been just "fun". The first day of school Bridey was so excited she woke up at 4:30 AM and couldn't go back to sleep. She loves school and just couldn't wait to go back.
Then .....I get a call about my mom, she went in for a check up on her pacemaker that was put in a month ago and the wires are lose and not connecting so they have to go back in to reattach them. I know it's not a major procedure but she is frail anyway and I'm not liking the idea. Her electricity has been going off a few times this week and she didn't have enough oxygen the other night so when she woke up her lips ere purple from not enough air.
Then....... John has been having problems with his aortic valve he had replaced last year and it's been skipping beats so he talked to his doctor today and they want him to go in tomorrow and have a heart monitor put on him for a month or two and he has to have a echo cardiogram on Tuesday Morning. Oh and his truck died on us this last weekend, so now we are down to one vehicle. I would like to just throw my hands up and say they heck with it and crawl into bed and not get out again!

Driving in the Rain

OH boy do I dislike driving in the rain. If it's a normal rain I can deal, just don't like it. But coming home from my mom's house yesterday i got caught in a STORM!! I couln't see the road at all! It was a good thing I was beside our church when it got bad, I pulled into the parking lot and waited until it let up. The wind was so strong, I was struggling to keep it on the road utnil I pulled over. I just hate that!

Is this the face of attitude or what! lol We have the living room blocked off so Jake can't get into the kitchen and get into the dog and cats food and water.....this is Jake trying his darnedest to get through. He has figured it out, he knows how to get through he just has trouble doing it sometimes. I keep trying to make it harder for him but.... He's to smart!

a very annoying woman

I work an the janitor of our church.......I work from 7am until 12pm. Our preacher is suppose to be in the office from 10 am until 1pm everyday. To give you a little background our preacher is a woman, she has been there for a little over a year now and she is very heard to get along with. Very abrasive hard to talk to unless she sounds like she is jumping our case about something. I try to avoid her as much as possible when we are both there. A few weeks ago she comes and tells me that the electric bill has went from 300 to 600 a month. Well okay.....what am I suppose to do about it? I guess I could quit vacuuming! LOL She has started turning off the air while she is not there. IT gets so hot in there that Jake crys almost the entire time we are there anymore. He use to have a good time playing around in that big old building (it's a huge 3 story church). Well she didn't get in to work today until 15 minutes before I was done. ( She hardly ever gets to work on time she is ALWAYS at least 30 minutes late) She comes in today and turns off the lights were I was working......well hello I was doing something in there. I don't keep the lights on the entire time I am there. I clean a room and turn the lights off -- shut the door as I leave the room. So it's not like I am wasting electric. I just packed up and left. The woman gets on my nerves so much! I can't wait till I can quit . okay just had to vent before I told off the preacher.....didn't think that would be a good thing.

Old Shows, new to me

okay, I am behind the times.......I never seem to find good sitcoms until they are no longer on the schedules except for old reruns. I mean I have recently started watching...Sex in the City....Will and Grace......Everybody loves Raymond and Frasier. Never watched them when they were new but I love them now. Where was I back then?? Good question, I can only say I must have had a life at the time they were new on the fall schedules. Well, I took care of that! LOL I had two kids and an out of work hubby with health problems, .... now my life is work, finding time to be with my family, cleaning and TV!! WhooHOO :) hey wait.......I think that is pretty much they way it has always been except for now I am usually home by 7 or 8pm instead of 11or 12pm. I've always been kind of a home body.
Atleast I get to catch up on some good TV now that I am home in the evenings.

High School Musical

Goodness that is all I have heard this last 2 weeks! High School Musical. !! Bridey has been counting down to the days to the sequel. I have watched the first one more times than I can count. I actually caught myself signing one of the songs the other day while I was doing dishes. *rolling eyes* So tonight is the premiere of the sequel. Bridey is so excited she can't wait. She didn't even tell me good morning this morning, the first thing out of her mouth was those wonderful three little words that I have heard so much of lately....."High School Musical 2"

So she has called all her friends and is waiting to hear if one of them can come over tonight and have a movie night with her so they can watch it and drive me nuts! lol One very hyper little girl makes me want to carry my aspirin bottle with me --- two hyper little girls screaming about "HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL" will make me down the entire bottle! LOL
Okay Im being dramatic.....but I'm sure I will have a headache by the time the night is over.
I don't ever remember being this excited over a movie when I was her age. Actually I don't ever remember being that excited over a movie. I have to admit....if I hadn't been hearing about it every five minutes for the last two weeks I would find it very cute.

TOO MUCH!

How can one kid have so much stuff I asked myself. The answer is that I have NO idea! lol
John and I took the afternoon and cleaned out Bridey's room. She had so much stuff in there she couldn't get into it to do anything or find anything. We got 4 gargage bags of stuff out of there and 2 pretty good size boxes of trash (well what I'd call trash.....broken toys or toys with pieces missing) out of her room. There is still 3 - 40 gallon size tupperware boxes of toys in there. Plus her book shelf stuffed full of books. I don't know where she got it all from. We haven't had any money hardly at all this last year so we haven't bought her but a few things. Granted with John having the surgery right before Christmas last year the guys he works with at the railroad made Christmas for the two kids really wonderful. More than we noramally do anyway. I guess thats where it had to come from. I'm glad we did it but now I'm exhausted.

Alrighty, my kids are 8 years apart but they look so much alike they could be twins. I keep telling everybody this but somehow John's family doesn't seem to realize this. But then they are hardly ever around the kids. So you can see for yourself.....

Oh This Heat!

Oh my is it hot! I was hoping the heat wouldn't show up this summer! We have been taking the kids and going to Southwood pool for a while and was enjoying it.....when the heat wasn't to hot. But now that the heat index is over 100 I don't like the idea of taking Jake out in it even to go to the pool. So we are sitting in the AC pretty my playing on the computer trying to keep cool. Bridey is SOOOOO bored, as she kepts telling me over and over again, I just don't want to take the chance of Jake getting burnt to over heated. He has fair skin and would burn as fast as I do I'm sure. I do feel bad for Bridey though having to stay inside. But hey it's only a few days hopefully and she has a TON of things she could do in the house. The picture below is of Bridey going off the high dive last night at the pool during a friends birthday party.

I'm Molly. Lawanda has talked me into trying to do this blog, just to warn you I'm sure I wont be good at it. I'm very boring!

I am 32. I have been married to John, my high school sweetheart for 14 years. Lawanda was one of my bridesmaids at my wedding in 1993! I have one daughter who is going to be 9 years old in Oct. Her name is Bridey Layne. I also have one son who will be a year old the first week of Sept. His name is Jacob Matthew. We call him Jake. I work part-time for our church doing the janitorial work. John ( who is 35) had open heart surgery in Oct of last year to replace his aortic valve. We almost lost him. His doctor didn't think he would make it till the end of the year without the surgery. He is doing good now though. He has been off work for a year now. We are waiting for the doctors to get all their reports ready to be signed off on so he can go back to work. Hopefully soon!!

Anyway that is a little about my family who I am sure I will be talking about A LOT. I'll try not to bore you. lol
