family of sicko's
We have all been sick for the last week or so, started out with Bridey and moved on to Jake then me....back to Bridey and Jake then lucky John got it. Now I have a soar throat again. ugh!! I can't wait until this thing is finally over with.
Social Studies Project
Bridey teamed up with a friend of hers to work on a social studies project. They did it on John's mom and dad's property, they have records back to 1855 of the people who owned it before. There is also a graveyard on the property, that has an infant , a little girl of the family that lived there in 1855 and a civil war veteran buried there. it was very interesting to do and the girls had fun. They did their project today for the school fair and they won and are now moving on to county. We are very proud of them.

babies, babies, babies
I just got back from the hospital. Meeting my new nephew. Brother and sister in law just had their 3rd son today. His name is Nathanael James. He's very cute. not sure who he looks like yet though.
On the 12th or the 13th....I can't remember which, my cousin Missy had her baby boy. He was very cute too! His name is Matthew Paul. He was her third child too but she has two boys now and one girl. Anywho..... Almost makes me want to have another one..........ALMOST! Maybe we will adpot one day down the road.......way down the road! lol But for now I have my Jakey and Bridey and if I get a yearning for a smaller baby I'll visit one of the babies born this week. Or go back to work at the daycare, that will take care of any yearnings I might get!!! LOL

I can see
I haven't gotten my eyes checked in a couple of years. Been wearing the same contacts........WAY TO LONG..............today I got my eyes checked.......and I can't believe how much better I can see now. It made me realize how bad my eyes had gotten, Bridey even commented that my eyes looked bigger. The Dr. told her it was because I wasn't sqinting anymore. lol

Mean Moms
This email I recieved is so true I had to share it. And I'd just like to say I had a mean mom, and proud of it.
Mean Moms
Someday when my children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates a parent, I will tell them, as my Mean Mom told me: I loved you enough...to ask where you were going, with whom, and what time you would be home.
I loved you enough to be silent and let you discover that your new best friend was a creep.
I loved you enough to stand over you for two hours while you cleaned your room, a job that should have taken 15 minutes.
I loved you enough to let you see anger, disappointment, and tears in my eyes. Children must learn that their parents aren't perfect.
I loved you enough to let you assume the responsibility for your actions even when the penalties were so harsh they almost broke my heart.
But most of all, I loved you enough . . . to say NO when I knew you would hate me for it. Those were the most difficult battles of all. I'm glad I won them, because in the end you won, too. And someday when your children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates parents, you will tell them.
Was your Mom mean? I know mine was. We had the meanest mother in the whole world! While other kids ate candy for breakfast, we had to have cereal, eggs, and toast. When others had a Pepsi and a Twinkie for lunch, we had to eat sandwiches. And you can guess our mother fixed us a dinner that was different from what other kids had, too.
Mother insisted on knowing where we were at all times. You'd think we were convicts in a prison. She had to know who our friends were, and what we were doing with them. She insisted that if we said we would be gone for an hour, we would be gone for an hour or less. We were ashamed to admit it, but she had the nerve to break the Child Labor Laws by making us work. We had to wash the dishes, make the beds, learn to cook, vacuum the floor, do laundry, empty the trash and all sorts of cruel jobs. I think she would lie awake at night thinking of more things for us to do. She always insisted on us telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. By the time we were teenagers she could read our minds and had eyes in the back of her head. Then, life was really tough!
Mother wouldn't let our friends just honk the horn when they drove up. They had to come up to the door so she could meet them. While everyone else could date when they were 12 or 13, we had to wait until we were 16. Because of our mother we missed out on lots of things other kids experienced None of us have ever been caught shoplifting, vandalizing other's property or ever arrested for any crime. It was all her fault.
Now that we have left home, we are all educated, honest adults. We are doing our best to be mean parents just like Mom was. I think that is what's wrong with the world today. It just doesn't have enough mean moms!

Working from home
I would love to find a REAL job to work from home. I always get all these emails (that drive me crazy btw) that say work from home earn lots of money from the comfort of your own house....wouldn't that be nice. They always have a catch though....all you have to do is pay a one-time fee of $xxx.xxx or give us your bank account number so we can send you your check. I can't believe anyone actually is dingy enough to pay for a job or give out personal information. But I'm sure there are people that do it or they would stop spamming me. But I do dream of a REAL job that I could do in my jammies in front of my computer while my baby plays around me. Wouldn't that just be heaven? *sigh*

Hannah Montana
We live in such a lame area. Nothing ever happens here and we never have anything fun for our kids come into the area. For example--Hannah Montana
First off we never have concerts in this area, we have to drive for atleast 2 hours to go to one. And since of course we couldn't get tickets to the biggest concert of the year......I was hoping to be able to take her to the movie of the concert, but yet again we live in such a lame area that we didn't even carry the movie of the concert. I have to admit it has ticked me off. The counselmen, the mayor...the people who say they are working to bring more to our area need to stop worring about the parking in downtown and start thinking about bringing in something for our kids. I mean heck they even let chuckey cheese leave a few years ago. As a mother it is just annoying to try to do something for your kids that they would love but have to drive hours away to do it.

15 years ago today I married the love of my life. 18 years ago today I started dating the love of my life. We had a lovely day together. John was off work today so we had a nice time....Sent Bridey to a friends house after dinner and had a fun "grown-up" time. We just enjoy spending time together. we will pick her up around 6pm and all go to family fitness night at the school together. we live exciting lives lol but it has been a good 15 --18 years.
BTW my boys are feeling better. The antibiotics worked fast on Jake and he is back to his happy little self now.

Now John is not feeling well.... I don't think this WV crude is ever going to go away it's been at our house for almost 3 weeks now.

Staying Home
I'm so excited!! FINALLY I get to be a stay at home mom with my baby for awhile. John has went back to work. He Started at Broughtons on Thursday and will start at the school board as soon as his finger prints come back. did I forget to post that he got boththe jobs he was applying for? Sorry well he did, got both Broughtons....will be workingin the warehouse 40 plus hours a week starting out at 10.50 an hour and he also got the custodian job at the school borad working as a sub..... starting at 10.68 an hour. so we are doing much better. So Wednesday was my last day of work. The funny thing was that the daycare I use to work for called me twice this week wanting me to come back to work. I probably will go back eventually, but right now I want to stay home and spend some time with Jake. I have things I want to do...like potty breaking him and booby breaking him....heck is is almost 17 months old and still on the boob because I haven't had time to work to get him off it. Now I will!! I also have some home projects I'm taking care of before I start another job. Don't get me wrong, i like the daycare and the girls working there but I need a break before I burn out on working at all. This last year and a half has been a very trying time for me and I AM staying home awhile and relaxing .....taking some me time.......no matter how many times the daycare calls asking me to come back. I admit though I am happy they keep calling me.....makes me feel good to know that they think I'm that good at what I do and need me back there. But just not right now.
anyway.....Bridey is singing at Bob Evans tonight for a fundraiser for her school....lucky choir kids...*rolling eyes* lol She will be there from 7pm till 8pm so I guess we will be having dinner there tonight. John will have to meet us there, he wont be getting off work ( I love the sound of that) in time to come with but will only be about 15 minutes late. This is nice being able to say my hubby is WORKING!!
