John's Job Updates
Well so far John has passed the written test for the school board. He has a practical test test were he has to run a buffer on Saturday morning, he also has an interview Friday morning for Brighton's. So keep your fingers crossed he gets one of them.
thanksgivng Week 2
We had a good thanksgiving for the most part, I hope everyone else did too.
We had thanksgiving dinner here a few days ahead of the real day. I just wanted to have a nice quiet, unhurried dinner with the four of us. So we did. IT was great. Food was excellent even if I have to blow my own horn! LOL We had a great time together, Bridey and John helped cook then we all sat around the table and told what we were thankful for. Then it was getting ready for the big day. We spent most of the day Wednesday at mom's getting ready for Thursday. Then first thing Thursday morning we went out to mom's and started cooking. Well We got it almost done, and My aunt come over and started having a fit about how I was ruining Thanksgiving dinner because I don't cook the same way mom does. Though she knows that it is to much on Mom to make the entire dinner now and she can't do the clean up 0r anything but did My aunt offer to help of cook????? Well NO she did not. The only thing she offered was criticism. Now my mom is a good cook, when she can do it, she is an old school cook....well she is 70 some years old, she doesn't use spices or try new things to spice things up. I on the other hand LOVE spices and I watch food network A LOT to get new ideas, so I was using some of them that i have used at our meals for years and they are pretty good If I do say so myself. My aunt had a hissy that I wasn't doing the meal like mom. Nobody else had a problem and really liked the meal. I was so mad! Then we were suppose to go out to John's family for dinner that evening but John didn't want to go. I later found out that he had gotten into it with his dad and brother earlier in the week while he was out there hunting. They seem to always criticism him for everything and he use to take it and not say anything and then for a while he stopped going out there and then this last time he finally told them to dock it off and that was why we didn't go out there very often was that they wouldn't get off his back. So now he isn't even wanting to out for Christmas....not sure what we will do.
Bridey's play was great too! Really cute!

Thanksgiving week.
We went to John's mom and dad's for the first time in FOREVER last night. He had to go sight his gun in for this morning. I guess ll in all it wasn't to bad, not like usual anyway, but then again they had John's cousin Chris in from the Bahama's for the holiday that they were being have in front of. John is back out there this morning hunting but Chris is there and so is John's Uncle from Ohio so it should be no nit Picking today either. After I pick Bridey up from school we are heading out there to pick John up. I never know what to expect when we go there, so I really don't like to go very often. Jake is napping right now so when he wakes up....I am off to do some shopping, go last minute food to pick up for myself and for my mom...I am fixing Thanksgiving dinner for everyone at mom's house on Thursday. Going to go out on Wednesday to get things started then out early Thursday morning to start cooking for the day. We have Thanksgiving lunch out there and then w will go to John's aunt's for dinner. Bridey's class has a Thanksgiving day presentation they are doing tomorrow afternoon. I can't wait to see it, they are doing a play based on the ugly duckling, but instead Bridey will be the ugly turkey who realizes she is really a beautiful peacock. It should be fun. lol So our week is full like everyone else's this week.

Okay here we go:
1. I am a pretty shy person. I don't like being around people. Although I don't think I'm mean or anything like that i just feel like I don't belong and very awkward.
2. I hate having to work outside the house now that I have a baby at home. I didn't mind a bit working before I had Jake. Actually enjoyed the daycare, but now I have him I'd rather be at home.
3. I have always wanted to write a book. I like reading, I like to write, i just didn't think I could keep my thoughts together long enough to get through a whole book.
4. I have body image issues, I always did even when I was very skinny. At that time I figured that was the reason I was liked. Now I have the problem thinking everyone is laughing at me. I just can't win. lol
5. I try to be cheery and up beat all the time. Even when I don't feel cheery or upbeat inside. i don't like people knowing if I am depressed or in a bad mood. With the exception of my hubby and kids...they get the whole package.
6. I could live on lobster, shrimp, and chocolate. I love to eat, but if I could eat these three everyday I'd be in heaven.
7. I hate leaving projects half done. This gets under my skin. I have had to deal with this a LOT this last year so I am learning to deal with it. :)

Disability update
no surprise, John was turned down. From what I understand everyone is the first time. So we went to a local attorney who is suppose to be very good to file a suit. She has a 96 percent success rate and this is what she specializes in. She thinks he has a very good chance of winning the case. It will just take up to 15 months. UGH!
Lowes build and grow program

This is a neat thing. I didn't know about it until this last week end. Every 2ND and 4Th Saturday of the month Lowe's has a build and grow program. It's entirely free. You and take your child there and let them build a little project. This last Saturday Bridey built a turkey recipe card holder. The kid keeps the project they build, they get a certificate for that week and a patch to put onto there Lowe's apron. It's very cool. Bridey loved it.
Cute kid

Jake is SO SO cute and SO sweet! This boy hardly ever cries, he is always happy. I love it! He is so smart too, he helps me around the house. Or even at work. He was helping me dust the church today. It was adorable! He will help me put away groceries. When I am folding laundry he will hand me the clothes out of the basket one at a time for me to fold. I just had to brag he's so darn cute!
Study Update for Bridey
Well she is doing so much better! I know it has only been little over a week or two (I can't remember) now but she is doing so much better. I take her weekly note the teacher sends out every Monday and we make a game plan of what to study which days for her tests on different days. then we get busy. The grades she brought home this week were all A's and B's with a one c exception. I can live with that! Much better than the all D's and F's with the c exceptions. lol She even placed 2ND in the science fair yesterday and got first place for the entire school on the young illustrators contest. So this week has been GREAT! we are still studying like crazy every night. I am even enjoying studying with her. I am refreshing the things I have forgotten over the years! lol I've been reading her accelerated readers books with her at night too. We are in the middle of Molly Moon's Incredible book of Hypnotism right now. For a grade school book I have to say it has me interested! ha ha I think next though we will read either a Harry Potter book, Little house on the prairie, maybe little women,or even Anne of Green Gables. I'll let her choose, but those get more AR points then some of the other books she has been reading. I am having fun doing this with her, I know her grades are improving i just hope she is having as much fun as I am!

Bridey's studies.
Bridey has been giving us trouble with school. UGH! She has been bringing home some terrible grades. She can do the work but she wont or wouldn't I Should say bring anything home to study. Well John and I have her studying EVERY night for several hours now. If she doesn't bring her book home, we take her back up to the school to go get them. I think she was just lazy wanting to come home and play every night. She got 4 B's and 1 C on her report card this time. The C was a very low C almost a D. So now she is in study mode. Grade should be up next report card! I hope! We will keep on her till they are.
Halloween

We took the kids trick or treating on the 30th in Vienna. The Golden Corral had a trick or treat event that started an hour before regular tirck or treating, they had twenty venders set up handing out candy, then on to the mall with them. The next night Parkersburg had their trick or treating so we took the kids around our neighborhood, They got more candy the second night going three blocks sround our house with only a few people handing out candy then they did the first night going to a ton of businesses. But they both had fun. Bridey was a kitty cat and Jake was a cowboy. We carried him most of the time the first night but around out neighborhood they secondnight we let him walk until he got tired, wich was about three streets.l He did a nose dive on the pavement when he finally got tired and hadlittle scratches on the tip of his nose for th next few days. Poor baby. But he was a trooper, daddy carried him for about 10 minutes afterwards then he went in the stroller the rest of the night while his sister took two bags to the doors to trick or treat for him. Which everyone in the neighborhood just laughed and gave her the candy for both her and Jake. They both had fun. Jake was so excited until he got tired it was adorable. He loved it. We all had fun.
