Aren't Teachers supose to be smart??

Sometimes I think they are complete idiots.
First of all Bridey has been having trouble in Math and Science, getting D's on her midterms and report cards for the last 2 grading periods. John and i have talked to her teacher many, many times.......but she just says Bridey is doing fine she doesn't need extra help and then Bri brings home more D's. I mean how smart is that teacher??

Last night and today the weather here has been bad. Severe thunderstorms and tornado watches. So her track team was having a cook out yesterday and didn't cancel due to weather. They DID move most of the party inside the school but was still planning on having a water balloon fight at the time I dropped her off with instructions not to be outside in the weather. I don't know if it was parents complaints or what but luckily they decided to hold off on the balloon fight at the last minute although they did go out and roast smores under the over hang of the school and had most of the kids running out into the rain. DUH!!

AND.....Bri has a classmate that lives across the creek behind us on the next road over. We can see his house from our back yard but have to cross a creek and small field to get to his house. Bridey goes over and plays sometimes and has taken his homework to him before. The teacher knows they are separated by a creek. So today knowing that we have had these lovely storms and flash flood warnings the simple teacher asks Bridey to give this boy a notice that his library book needs returned or paid for. So Bri comes home wanting to go over to this boys house and give him this notice and gets upset with me when i tell her NO she can't cross the creek because the water is up. She's afraid she will get in trouble for not taking it to him. I told her to tell her teacher I wouldn't let her cross the creek in this weather and if she had a problem with it to call me.
I mean really for one it's not the other students responsibilities to give their neighbor kids stuff from school. It is nice though i admit and if it wasn't a safety issue I normally wouldn't mind but seriously what are these teacher thinking or where is the brain they are suppose to be teaching with??

one of these days i promise. this week coming up though, John is working double shifts all week long and Brideys summer school program that is usually over at 12:30 has added an extra program about nutrician so she will be there for an extra 2 hours every day next week. so maybe the week after next or something before school starts.
