Staying Home

I'm so excited!! FINALLY I get to be a stay at home mom with my baby for awhile. John has went back to work. He Started at Broughtons on Thursday and will start at the school board as soon as his finger prints come back. did I forget to post that he got boththe jobs he was applying for? Sorry well he did, got both Broughtons....will be workingin the warehouse 40 plus hours a week starting out at 10.50 an hour and he also got the custodian job at the school borad working as a sub..... starting at 10.68 an hour. so we are doing much better. So Wednesday was my last day of work. The funny thing was that the daycare I use to work for called me twice this week wanting me to come back to work. I probably will go back eventually, but right now I want to stay home and spend some time with Jake. I have things I want to do...like potty breaking him and booby breaking him....heck is is almost 17 months old and still on the boob because I haven't had time to work to get him off it. Now I will!! I also have some home projects I'm taking care of before I start another job. Don't get me wrong, i like the daycare and the girls working there but I need a break before I burn out on working at all. This last year and a half has been a very trying time for me and I AM staying home awhile and relaxing .....taking some me time.......no matter how many times the daycare calls asking me to come back. I admit though I am happy they keep calling me.....makes me feel good to know that they think I'm that good at what I do and need me back there. But just not right now.
anyway.....Bridey is singing at Bob Evans tonight for a fundraiser for her school....lucky choir kids...*rolling eyes* lol She will be there from 7pm till 8pm so I guess we will be having dinner there tonight. John will have to meet us there, he wont be getting off work ( I love the sound of that) in time to come with but will only be about 15 minutes late. This is nice being able to say my hubby is WORKING!!

YAY for John! Is he not able to get disability then?

I am still working at Coldwater Creek. I just got off a bit ago, as a matter of fact. And I am TIRED! :-p

Enjoy your time off you deserve it girlie!!

Oh, and Raechel was nursing nearly as much at age 17 months as she was at 7 months! LOL So don't feel bad about that either! haha

Now the potty thing, I completely get. Diapers are a thing of the past around here thankfully! (unless I happen to get lucky upon the removal of my IUD! Not that I am planning or going to be sneaky or anything! Mwahahahahaha!!!!)

;)

Oh, so you should have time to crop now, huh?!?! :-D

I admit I was feeling a little bad about him still breastfeeding, but not now....thanks! Most people are like "you haven't stopped yet??" but oh well,
We are still working on John's disability.....Jan Dils says she can get it for him but it could take awhile....we are waiting on a court date..Kojm would just rather work if he can......he is so sore right now from the broughtons job that he couldn't hardly get out of bed this morning.... he's hoping it will get better in the next month...but he could still get a back payment in disability for the year and a half he hasn't been working and maybe for 9 months after he goes back to work. So that's what we are working on.
Oh and I'll have time to crop soon I hope!! I had packed up all my scrap stuff this last year and I have to get John to help me get it back out. it's a big ole tub that is over my head and i think if i tried to get it down i'd drop on my head and kill myself!! I'll bug him about it whe he gets a day off. lol

I hope he is liking his jobs!

And, didnt you breastfeed Bridey for a while, too? I think it is awesome. Raechel (well all my kids really) weaned herself at about 19 months. I would ask her if she wanted to nurse and she'd say "No, mama." *sob*

haha

I breastfed Bridey for 14 months. I So just don't understand why everyone doesn't breastfeed. It's so much easier and more rewarding. I know Jake will get broke sooner or later and I really don't care if it's later.......just sick of other people saying "isn't it time you broke him??" It's annoying.

Ugh, I know what you mean. People were always asking me when I was going to quit. Even before she turned a year old!!

I only think it is weird if a person breastfeeds longer than two or three years. Then it is definitely creepy since the baby (child!) does not need the breastmilk. And my kids were not babies after they turned about 3 or 4. They definitely did not need to be cuddled so much, that is for sure.
